Revised Registration Fees

At its meeting on 5 December, the NRCPD Board approved our budget for 2018, which includes a small increase in registration fees across the registers.  The table below sets out the new fee amounts for each section of the registers with effect from 1January 2018.

During NRCPD’s first year of transition to full independence, we have begun to build our reserves as an independent company, and have also seen a 5% increase in total registrations, taking our number of registrations to 1,429 at 1 December 2017. During the year, we have continued to develop the registers through a number of initiatives, including reviews of the CPD scheme, TSLI standards and the National Occupational Standards in Interpreting.

The Board has kept the registration fees increase to the minimum required to ensure we can meet our day to day running costs, and continue to develop as an organisation. We will, of course, be keeping you informed of our activities, attendance at events, and our engagement with the professional associations, service users and stakeholders.

Changes to requirements for DBS Checks

On 14 November 2017 we wrote to all registrants and trainees to let them know about changes to NRCPD’s requirements for Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) checks for registration purposes. Confirmation that you have a standard disclosure check; or are subscribed to the DBS update service is acceptable for the purpose of registration. We have published some FAQs for registrants and trainees about this change.

Christmas Closing Dates

We will be closed from 4.30 pm on Friday 22 December 2017 until 9.00 am on Tuesday 2 January 2018. If you are due to renew your registration in December, please ensure you have submitted your registration before 20 December to avoid any gap in your registration.
