Registration Changes During COVID-19 Pandemic: Flexibility Reminder

23 April 2020

We recognised in March that the COVID-19 pandemic would put financial pressures on many of our registrants and trainees. On 27 March, we announced some measures that would help anyone finding it hard to pay registration fees on time as a result. They include the ability to renew or register just for 6 months and the extension of payment terms from 30 days to 60 days.

Importantly, if you're still worried about paying, please get in touch. We want you to know that if you are struggling financially and these measures don't help, we can discuss look at what is best for you going forward. The existing registration processes, plus the new measures mean that a great deal of flexibility is available for those having difficulty. We can discuss alternative ways to pay, spread or delay payments over a different period - whatever is right for you. What is important is that we will support you to stay on the register so that you can continue to prove your professional standing as an NRCPD registrant, provide confidence to your clients whether hearing or d/Deaf, and ensure you don't miss out on work when it comes.

Also, we're pleased to announce that we will in due course be putting in place a formal instalments scheme and we will let you know more about that in a few weeks time.

If you have any questions about this or need to confidentially discuss help with registration or payment of fees, please get in touch via enquiries@nrcpd.org.uk or call us on 0191 323 3376.

We advise everyone to follow the latest advice from the Government about coronavirus and we will continue to be here to support you in these testing times.

With thanks,

NRCPD.
