Dear Registrants and Regulated Trainees,
As part of our strategic aim to develop the professions, we are developing a library of core practice guidance for language service professionals working with d/Deaf* and deafblind people. The purpose of this is to comprehensively set out the way you should work with d/Deaf* and deafblind people and hearing participants, by identifying the standards of practice in accordance with your regulated profession.
The first stage of this work will be a practice guidance review, which will consider the current landscape of practice guidance across all professions on the registers and recommend the priorities of work. As part of this review, we have created a survey to give you the opportunity to tell us your views on the guidance that currently exists for you and what guidance is needed by domain and/or profession.
You can complete the survey in English through the survey software, or in BSL. From your responses, we will identify key themes, issues and opportunities which will inform a report for our Practice Policy Officer, to help recommend the priorities of work.
We have emailed you your personal link to the survey on Tuesday 26th October 2021.
This survey is anonymous. You will not be asked to give your name, contact details or any other personal identifiable information and your email address will not be associated with the responses you provide.

To give your answers in BSL, please contact us via VRS in advance to arrange a specified date and time to complete the survey, and let the interpreter know you would like to remain anonymous before they connect with us. You then make a second VRS call with NRCPD at the booked time and date to complete the survey. NRCPD staff will then complete a survey form on the call recording the answers from the interpreter.
The survey should take you no longer than 10-15 minutes to complete. Please complete this survey before 9:00am Tuesday 2nd November 2021 and do not forward the link to anyone else.
