Dear Registrants and Regulated Trainees,
As you will know, Relay-Intralingual Interpreters (RSLI/TSLI) are currently on the same register as Sign Language Interpreters. We are informing you that there will soon be a separate register for Relay-Intralingual Interpreters. One of the reasons for this change is to make it easier for the public to search for this type of professional using our website. Depending on their registration status, Relay-Intralingual Interpreters will still be RSLI or TSLI however.
This change to the website for the Relay-Intralingual Interpreter category will take place after the office closes on Tuesday 21st March 2023.
We are also reducing the registration fee for Registered Relay-Intralingual Interpreters to be the same as for Registered Sign Language Translators. The new fee for Registered Relay-Intralingual Interpreters will be £177 annually, whilst the fee for Regulated Trainee Relay-Intralingual Interpreters will still be £142 annually. The new fee will apply for all applications approved from Wednesday 22nd March 2023.
