We have published a statement of intent to regulate communication and language professionals. Statutory regulation will protect the public by making it illegal for an unregistered interpreter for deafblind people, lipspeaker, notetaker, sign language interpreter, sign language translator or speech to text reporter to practise or use the title.12 November 2015
Our Board is getting ready to meet on 2 November. It will be the last meeting of our current chair, Huw Vaughan Thomas. The main agenda item is governance arrangements with Signature, which we'll be able to tell you more about soon. When we do, we'll also announce who will be taking Huw's place.
