Nature of Complaint |
Complainant raised concerns around a number of medical assignments between 2020 and 2021. It was alleged that the Registrant rushed the Complainant and assignments, making the Complainant feel they had no control over their own appointments. Further allegations were made that at the most recent assignment, the Registrant communicated with the medical professional independently and left the assignment before it had ended, leaving the Complainant without communication support. A witness statement was sought from the medical professional present during the most recent assignment. |
Summary |
Investigation conducted into potential breach of Sections 1.1 and 6.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct. |
Outcome |
Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was not a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practice, and that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee. The Case Examiners stated that they did not find an impairment of fitness to practice, as this case did not warrant this response. They did however request that NRCPD write to the Registrant and advise them to always allow sufficient time to travel to and from assignments to avoid undue stress and pressure to professionals, service users, and themself. |
