Nature of Complaint |
Complainant raised concerns around the Registrant's conduct regarding their behaviour and response for Covid risk assessment requirements to attend a meeting at a school with a child linked to child protection. Allegations include the Registrant being rude towards staff and shouting at staff members, not following risk assessment instructions and general safeguarding matters to ensure safety of staff and children, and upon being advised that the client was running late, they continued with their rudeness and subsequently left the assignment without completing it. |
Summary |
Investigation conducted into potential breach of Section 1.1 and 6.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct. |
Outcome |
Case Examiners decided based on the evidence provided, that there was a realistic prospect of finding an impairment of fitness to practice, but that it was not in the public interest to refer the case to a Complaints Committee. They found breaches of 1.1 and 6.1 of the Code of Practice and expressed concern around the Registrant's ability to reflect on their practice and control their behaviour. The Committee decided to issue the Registrant a warning in relation to these sections of the Code to be held in place for 12 months and to require the Registrant to attend professional supervision sessions to reflect on their behaviour and the impact it has on others. |
