Nature of Complaint

The Complainant raised concerns around the professional conduct of the Registrant during a medical appointment at a hospital which led to a further appointment being made to obtain the outcome that was needed and receive the appropriate treatment. Allegations include not interpreting a medical consent form causing surgery to be delayed and leaving the room during the appointment.

Investigation conducted into potential breach of Standards 1.1 and 6.1 of NRCPD's Code of Conduct.

Outcome

Evidence was sought from various sources. The case was fully reviewed by the Registrar under paragraph 36 of the Professional Conduct Complaints Procedure and was discontinued due to there not being sufficient evidence to support the allegations of misconduct.
